Super Times Pay Super Spin Poker is the merging of two games by International Game Technology. Super Times Pay was developed Leading Edge Design (LED) and Super Spin by Action Gaming. IGT has combined the two games into an all-encompassing Super Times Pay Super Spin Poker machine. The idea behind the game is to have a slot-based video poker game (Spin Poker) with the random multiplier from Super Times Pay. The game has 5 reels with 3 rows in which the cards of a 52-card deck spin. There are a total of 9 paying lines that cross the reels and each connect 5 cards. It is not mandatory to bet on all 9 lines but the fun of the game comes from seeing all 9 lines paying out coins. When the poker cards within a paying line complete a qualifying poker hand, a payout is made according to the game’s paytable.
So far, that’s just like normal Spin Poker. What makes it different is the random Super Times Pay that appears occasionally in the game. A multiplier ranging from 2x to 10x appears on average once every 15 hands. During that hand, any paying line will be multiplied according to the multiplier. The average multiplier to appear is valued at 4.05. To have this feature the player must place an additional “bonus bet” equal to 1 credit per each hand.
Although many games were available in the normal Spin Poker machine, Super Times Pay Spin Poker only provides the following draw poker games:
- Bonus Poker
- Deuces Wild
- Double Bonus Poker
- Double Double Bonus Poker
- Jacks or Better
- Joker Poker

How to Play Super Times Pay Spin Poker
From the perspective of Spin Poker the game is quite easily visualized. Imagine 3 sets of 5-card poker hands one on top of the other. That makes a total of 15 cards on your screen. These cards are dealt randomly as you spin the reels. In the end, you will be receiving payouts for 9 combinations of 5-card poker hands. The paying lines criss-cross the 15 cards to create all the paying combinations.

So, to start playing follow the normal steps of inserting money into the machine and deciding how many lines you want to bet on. To have the Super Times Pay activated, you must wager one extra credit PER hand. Betting on the 9 lines on Max Bet equals 54 credits (9 x 6).
Press the Deal button to begin. You must only decide which cards to hold in the middle row which is dealt the 5 initial cards. If you hold any card here they will be duplicated on the row of cards on top and below. This is just as any normal multi-hand video poker game. Once the cards are held, the player must press the Draw button to deal (or spin) new cards.
The Super Times Pay feature will become active after you press the deal button and before the 5-initial cards are dealt. The middle card in the middle row will start shuffling the multipliers (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 8x and 10x) until it stops on one. Then the 5 cards will appear and the game continues as usual. The results of any winning hand will be multiplied by the set multiplier. So for example, a 5x multiplier while playing Jacks or Better, will give out 5:1 for a high pair, on every line that connects the high pair.
The total payout of each round will be displayed inside the “win” meter. To see how much each hand paid out, allow the blinking lines to reveal how much was won on each before you begin another game.
Super Times Pay Spin Poker has the same odds as a normal video poker game. You may use your standard video poker strategy. For more information on poker strategy, read our other articles for each of the games available in Super Times Pay Spin Poker version.
More Video Poker Games
Double Super Times Pay Poker sounds like it might be related to Double Pay Poker, but it actually has nothing in common with that variation. In fact, it’s one of those video poker games which doesn’t really have a different pay table or different wild card variations at all. The designers have tacked an additional feature onto the game, and it’s completely optional.
Most video poker games these days can be played as single line games, which means you play one hand only, or as multi line games, which means you’re playing 3, 5, 10, or even more hands at a time. Double Super Times Pay Poker offers the option to play as a single line game, and when you do so, it plays just like a regular video poker game. You don’t even have the option of activating the “Double Super Times Pay” option.

But if you’re playing multiple lines, you have the option of placing an additional 2 coin bet on each hand. If you do so, you’ll occasionally receive random multipliers which are applied to your payouts.
